Respect For All

School Rules

All students in NSW Government schools are expected to:

  1. Attend every school day, unless they are legally excused, and be in class on time and prepared to learn.

  2. Maintain a neat appearance, including adhering to the requirements of the school’s uniform or dress code policy.

  3. Behave safely, considerately and responsibly, including when travelling to and from school.

  4. Show respect at all times for teachers, other school staff and helpers, including following class rules, speaking courteously and cooperating with instructions and learning activities.

  5. Treat one another with dignity and respect.

  6. Care for property belonging to themselves, the school and others.


Behaviour that infringes on the safety of others, such as harassment, bullying and illegal or anti-social behaviour of any kind, will not be tolerated.


Mobile Phones

Children are not permitted to use mobile phones whilst at school. Contact with family during the school day can be facilitated through the office or through the school mobile on 0429 556150. The school takes no responsibility for the loss of mobile phones.


Smoking

Smoking it totally prohibited in all NSW Department of School Education premises.  Visitors to the school are therefore required to refrain from smoking whilst in school buildings and on school grounds.


Playground rules:

  1. Play in approved areas—do not go out of bounds or outside the school grounds without permission

  2. ‘No hat no play’

  3. Abide by the rules of structured games

  4. Play fairly—make sure teams are even and everyone who wishes to participate is welcomed. 

  5. Respect the feelings of others—encourage those with developing skills

  6. Food is not to be shared or swapped.

  7. Wear appropriate safety equipment—soccer shin pads, softball helmets, etc

  8. Play safely—always ask permission to use any equipment, leave sticks or stones on the ground, do not play aggressively.




Classroom rules:

(These are general rules – each year the students and their teacher establish five key rules for their classroom)

  1. Move sensibly in the classroom

  2. Work quietly when asked

  3. Be cooperative

  4. Listen carefully

  5. Be silent when someone is speaking to the class




Pool rules

  1. Do not enter the pool yard without an adult

  2. Do not run around the edge of the pool

  3. No running, pushing, diving, back flips or dive bombing 

  4. Do not hold your breath under water for longer than necessary for swimming activities

  5. Do not hold anyone under the water

  6. Keep your hands to yourself

  7. Follow instructions given by the adult supervisor at all times
